Yup, more trees. Maybe one day I will figure out how to draw leaves.
Anyways, I carved all of the blocks to make this print an intricate six colour print. Sadly, I can’t afford to spend a hundred bucks or so on the other four ink colours that I will probably only use once. So, I just went with the main background, and the main outline. I will save all the shading and details for another time. In the meantime, imagine some blues, greens and grays in there.

So, this guy started off as a woodblock print, but I broke my last exacto blade cutting it. If I don’t finish things on the first try, chances are I will never come back to it. So, I just carved out what was already cut, painted it up and called it a day. I mean why bother finishing things when you can start again. I guess that explains all of my unfinished tattoos.

Well, since my first test doing a two colour woodblock print worked out pretty well, I gave it another shot with a super simple black and white design. I think I have my registration system figured out pretty well, I just have to take a little bit more care in transferring the design to the blocks for carving . Anyways, here it is.

This is my first attempt at working with two colours. Just something super simple to test out my registration system. I think they turned out pretty well considering I have no clue about how prints are properly done.
And again I forgot to measure these before coming inside so I am going to guess that they are approx. 8×10. Numbered 1 to 20. chrisvalour@hotmail.com if you want one cheap.

Here are a few more prints. I finished the first two yesterday and the third one is from a couple weeks ago. Again, the sizes are approximate and are the size of the print itself, not the paper. I just finished the first one today. It’s raining and crappy out so I couldn’t take it out of the workshop to get a good picture. Just pretend it looks better than it actually does. And I forgot to measure it before I left so the size is an estimate. The other two are from a coupe of weeks ago before I started working on the barn. I have a bunch more that need finishing that I will hopefully get to soon. Oh, and you can buy them here if you are interested. Cheap Cheap Cheap!
